The battery ignition tractors with the 5 prong switch take P/N 103990

Sounds to me like you bought a switch for an MTD/AYP type tractor with magneto ignition - and no, they won't interchange. (same switch as used on the Briggs powered 100/200 series lawn tractors and possibly some of the Magnum powered garden tractors. (P/N 103991 switch)

ok nother one for you will the 6 way switch from a wheel horse go int its place so i can use the 6 slot for lights? down the road thank you jeremy

i think it is for a mtd/ayp as the guy at the shop looked around and said here this is universal\kinda skeptical when he said it was universal and the only one they had.well thanks for the help guess i will have to order one or rip it out of one of the others.hate to do this but what is the hurt in boroing it from one of the 20 tractors for the time being. thanks again for all the help jeremy

TT

The correct switch should only have 5 terminals.

The terminal marked "A" is the accessory feed. (use for the lights)
