Hit & Miss & stuff

Just wondering if any of you folks around here would be interested in seeing some turn of the century abandoned logging & drilling equipment that we stumbled on while out on our wheelers ?

If there's any interest, I'll pop some pics up tomorrow afternoon...

That's awesome.  I love the detail you can see in the layers of those giant wooden pulleys.  How thick was that rope laying over there?  Looks as big as mooring ropes for a big sea ship!  Must be fairly well protected from weather to have lasted that long, and by some miracle no scrapper has ventured back there to burn the wood and take the metal!

Thanks for the teaser, looking forward to seeing more pictures!

Any steam shows around you Craig? If not you should make the "short" drive up here and ck out the pageant. You'd have a blast! Hope to take lots of pics and I'll post them in a new thread. I shouldn't be tied down at the flea market site too much this year.

Regrettably, not yet .but as I get older I find myself more interested in the old iron.

It takes me back to my childhood at our local county fair , staring up in awe at a running steam tractor. The smell of the oil and steam with the occasional chord of a steam whistle .
