C-161 Automatic Transaxle filter ?

I finally got my C-161 home over the weekend and am trying to go over the whole tractor, little by little, to renew her spirit, but without a owners, or repair manual, it makes some of the how to questions beyond my control.

I believe I have read on here that the transaxle has a filter. Could someone tell me it's location, the part number, and how to change it ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

What are some of the alternate filter#'s that can be used?  I am also in need of one.

I used a NAPA 1410 on my Charger 10. It's a true transmission filter, not an oil filter.

Yup. A 1410 and Mobil 1 10w30 or 10w40

Have you found Mobil 1 to be better than any other brand ? New at trying to figure this all out, so just curious. I will have to see if we have a NAPA parts store in my area.

Mobil 1 just seems the easiest brand to find in a full synthetic name brand oil
