C161 Pin pops out of Cam

Recommended Posts

rodcogroup

I have had an ongoing problem for a while, but it seems to be getting worse.

Sometimes the pin (part 6127) that is attached to the shift handle bracket on my C161 Auto, pops out of the socket on the shifting cam. I have replaced the plastic slide cam (part 5996) several times.

The problem seems that the pin is no longer long enough to fit in the socket.

I did notice that the location where the Hydro attaches to the tractor frame has a couple of hairline cracks where the bolts are.

Is there an easy fix? (longer pin available).

Is there a retrofit option to bypass the cam /pivot set up?

I do have a front end loader and it seems to happen more often when using the loader. Can the frame cracks be repaird? is the pin worn?

Thanks

Cracks can be welded. Also check for worn bushings in the dcl pivots and dash tower for cracks and loose bolts.
