Is it worth painting mufflers?

On the nicer nelson mufflers that are getting hard to get, is it worth painting it with thtat flat black grill paint every now and then?  Will the paint stay on for very long with the high temps?  I once painted a lawnmower muffler with a wood stove paint and by the end of the year it was burned off.

Actually the modern high temp spray paints are a lot better then they used to be. I paint all of mine either silver or flat black with Duplicolor VHT high temp paint and they will last several seasons.  But I usually sand blast them first

I use the VHT that Craig uses, does last a season or two.

Rattle can, easy to apply, I usually tarp off the muffler while still on the engine and touch up the muffler (paint). Guess I have five minutes now 'n then.

I still spit shine my boots, maybe only once a month but, looks good. Guess I have five minutes now 'n then.

I have to admit, shamefully, I don't check tire air pressure too often.

I use the rustoleum high temp 2000 paint. I paint most every tracot of mines muffler, I like the look of it. As long as you cure the paint it will last a long time
