Hydro 131 #26 Posted June 23, 2013 Gotcha. Now I get it. I appreciate your time. I will try that.
rick 257 #27 Posted June 23, 2013 I had problems adjusting the pitch of the deck. I couldn't get the front as high as it should be and still get the adjustment lever to go in the highest hole. If I remember correctly (harder and harder to do anymore) I wasn't alone in the dilemma. I made the best compromise I could and let it go As to cutting height in general, the consensus is that theses machines were designed in another time when it was fashionable to cut grass "so short the yellow shows" as my old buddy used to say. I had to raise my eyebrows the other day on here when the 48" deck was praised, but everyone's experience is different.
Hydro 131 #28 Posted June 23, 2013 Thanks Rick. In the heat, I need to cut higher so this year a guide wheel on the front of the deck. One way or the other this old horse will be adjusted to do what I want it to do.
