slyacer 3 #1 Posted May 31, 2013 hey guys...its me again. i want to take the deck off my 701 and i was wondering if anyone to point me in the direction of literature that explains the easiest and proper way to remove the deck? its the 36 inch rear discharge deck. the height adjustment lever and the belts were no problem.....but im having trouble figuring out how to get the 2 large rods that adjust the front to back loose from the frame. the hanger on the left and right in the front are connected to that rod that goes across that the pulley and double belts and drive belt are connected to. that rod goes through the left and right mounting blocks under the front of the tractor frame.....and according to the manual that i have....it shows those to mounting brackets are bolted on.....what can be messed up if i unbolt that entire unit from the front? or is that the easiest way? if someone could point me to some instructions i would be tickled to death Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
