Your tractor is a 1964 and should have a 10hp Kohler K-241 on it.

You cant put B82 or B112 in the box for the newer tractors. You need the actual model# of your tractor.

Try 02-08BP01 for your B-82 and 02-11BX01 for your B-112. These #s are for 1980 machines and will be differant each year.

B) Circus man!

Congradulations on your first wheel horse! And what a find you have!

The 1054 and 1054A were quite unique models as I have learned.

As I have learned the 1054 was equipped with ag style rear tires and the

1054A had turf style tires. They also reportedly had different model numbers

for the transmissions. There was no "A" on the 1054A's decal, but on some there was the term "workhorse".

I happen to have a 1054A. Been updating it for use. It has been fighting me almost all the way, but I am solving each problem with the help of the great people on this site. You might want to see my postings about my tractor made last about a week ago.

And as always....

Thanks for joining us!

Follow this link to learn how to use a remote photo hosting site:

http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1071

It works much better than direct attachments and allows for larger pictures.

(Attached photos also slow down the loading of the posts.)

Use the Photobucket picture editing feature to save the picture in the 160 X 120 size. (or upload a new picture in that size)

Instead of using the IMG link, you'll want to select the Direct Link. Paste the Direct Link in to the box here at RedSquare where it asks you to "Enter a URL to an online avatar image".

That's not a bad looking tractor. Nice. You said this was your first mower and you're 38, so how long have you owned this tractor? Just curious, as your tractor is 44 years old and it would be nice if you were the second owner.

Yea, how about some close-ups of the pto set up. I'm trying to figure out how you shut off the mower deck without stopping the engine. B)

Do you still have the stock pto engagement arm and bracket?

Maybe Burly will chime in here. He has a 1054a and he told me in a post that he got a new seat for his from some guy that made them, then sold them at the wheel horse show in Pennsylvania.

My dad bought the horse in 74 from the first owner. In 78 I started mowing with it up until i moved out. My dad got a newer model wheel horse given to him.He said I logged so many hours in the saddel of that 1054 that i should have it B)

The "device"is a deck higth adj. lever off of a airens (looks like a REO).A cable is pulled around the pully on the front, and pulls the ideler pully tight on the deckbelt and engauges the deck.

I think something broke , he couldent get the parts,so he made something that would work. But he said he still had the parts . so i hope to put it back like it should be.

Yeah...the original PTO arrangement was a pretty simple device.

Give us some pics of what might be broke if you get the chance.
