Tom. 70 #1 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi, I am wanting to add a rear lift to my c141 8 speed wheel horse but am unsure what I need or if it's possible? The fuel tank is under the fender. Does anyone have any pictures of there setups? Will I use the mower lift lever or have to add a new one? I'm quite new to wheel horses and am still learning so any help would be appreciated! Trouty56 567 #2 Posted April 29, 2013 What ya lifting?? Same rockshaft does all the lifting.....just different places to hook up. Dr Clank had some nice pics of his cable and other pics were added in this thread......
Tom. 70 #3 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi, Thanks for the reply. That kind of makes sense! So what controls the cable? I think I need to have a look under the fender and see what space I have to play with.I hope to be lifting a cultivator and maybe a plough eventually. meadowfield 2,754 #4 Posted April 29, 2013 look up kphorsefans C-141 with rear lift. He covers the whole build and clevis hitch to a brinly plough.
Tom. 70 #5 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi, How very weird I have just read through his thread! As you say it's very informative and I have learnt a lot about it. I will get out tomorrow and do some measuring up. Tom
Tom. 70 #6 Posted April 30, 2013 Hi all, I have been out this afternoon for a bit and I got the seat and fender off and had a good look. It all seems to make sense now and I know exactly what I need to do. I notice Dr Clank didn't use a rock shaft but I think I will be. I have attached a picture of a rock shaft, is that the sort of thing I need? Thanks for all your help so far. Tom
meadowfield 2,754 #7 Posted May 1, 2013 that's about right, but the ones I've seen were offset - i.e. hands on a clock (1pm)
876wheelhorse 46 #8 Posted August 11, 2013 so this shaft is saving the wear and tear on the lift cylinder? by having this shaft is bringing the shaft back and forth and with having the attachment hooking up a couple inches when load is up it is actually hanging on this shaft and not the cylinder. is this right ? i was just going to run a cable back but after thinking about this this is better way to do right?
