TheeNickster 0 #1 Posted April 24, 2013 Hello Everyone, I just picked up a '90 416-8 a couple weeks ago. I am suspecting my voltage regulator has gone south. I was trying to pull the flywheel cover off and removed the obvious bolts on the sides, and one on the bottom. I noticed the choke cable assembly is also attached. With all those bolts removed, the cover still seems to fastened tight. I was just curious if there are other fasteners elsewhere that I may have missed. Just figured I'd make my first post on here before I got carried away and started tearing stuff off that I didn't really have to. Glad to be a new member, and thanks in advance for any pointers. dbartlett1958 96 #3 Posted April 24, 2013 Just wondering why you want to remove the flywheel cover to replace the regulator. It is easily accessible.
JackC 616 #4 Posted April 24, 2013 Voltage regulator sits on top of the engine tin at the back of the engine.
varosd 1,185 #5 Posted April 24, 2013 Do you mean the ignition control module?, which is indeed behind the flywheel.
