stevasaurus 22,234 #4 Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) Nice mess Lars. Man your vehicle barely fits on that trailer. Who has to clean that up?? Edited April 23, 2013 by stevasaurus
6wheeler 586 #5 Posted April 23, 2013 I had a 93 suburban that did blow one of the the oil cooler lines (there are 2). Luckily no damage happened to the engine. I just filled it up with oil and loaded it on a trailer and hauled it home. I had to get the lines from a Chevy dealer because the after market lines did not fit. If you are very careful and they are not too brittle, you can get the lines out of the radiator clips. They are not screwed in. They just snap into a shark type fitting. Also, in case you were curious Lars? You cannot eliminate that damn cooler. I was going to try to loop the lines around but was told by the dealer and several Chevy guys, it is a necessary application as the oil gets too hot in the newer engines. The lines cost around $120.00 per line. Good Luck Pat

6wheeler 586 #11 Posted April 24, 2013 Thanks for the link on those lines Lars. I think I will order a set for my 98 Suburban and head off the problem before it gets to be one. These aluminum ones are a regular PIA.

Lars 526 #19 Posted May 3, 2013 well after study the oil that was left on the engine it dont seems to bad..it was not matall in the oil and that is a good sign!!!! ill think i have been very lucky whit it.. i have got the oil line back on it and got new oil and filter on it and it runs now, i dont have any nasty and scary noises in the engine.. well hard to say you know how they engines rattels etc.. but im waiting on a new clip to the oil line.. so ill am sure it dont go off again when ill use it to ill get the other oil line kit...
