Effie46 1 #1 Posted March 31, 2013 Can anyone tell me how to identify whether a 520H (`92-`93 vintage) has an Eaton transmission or whatever else wheel horse used for transmissions. I've seen some comments regarding a difference in transmissions relative to how hard you can work a wheelhorse. I meant to ask if they can be identified from the outside of the transmission? Thanks, Effie
sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted March 31, 2013 A 520 should have an Eaton 1100. The Eaton 700 looks kinda similar but doesnt have provision for an oil filter or hydraulic lift. The earlier tractors used Sundstrands which was a completely different transmission. Welcome to RS.
