Looking for for Tiller for 312-A, maybe found one?

I have been looking for a tiller for my recently aquired 1986 312-A Model.  I found a guy that has a tiller.  I asked for the TAG info and he emailed me Model# 12519 and SN# 991821.  I cant decode either of these numbers, let alone know if it will work on my tractor.  He has it mounted to 1977 C312 and also said that it had fit a 1992 416.  He is asking $350 for it.

 

Can anyone confirm this will work on my unit, and if the price is fair?  I have no idea.  Thanks in advance.  Would be nice to have one before spring...

yes it will fit your 312A and for price i have seen them go from 50 bucks to 400 bucks.Make sure you get the mid mount pulley and try to get the lift rod  and cable  and everything you will need off his tractor.

The model number is 7-1251.

The 9 on the end is not used but tells us it is a 1974 model. (9-5=4=1974)

 

Go into the manuals and do a search for 1251. The manual will come up.

Don't forget the rear axle hitch too.
