MalMac 1,328 #1 Posted February 28, 2013 Why was there spacer blocks used on the rear Axel mount when using a snow plow on the 520-8 speed?
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #2 Posted February 28, 2013 So the forward cross pin of the rear extension didn't hit the bottom of the tranz case when the blade was raised.

Tankman 3,515 #4 Posted March 4, 2013 TT, the rear bolted on hitch was also lowered I believe(?). Ah, spacer blocks. What were the dimensions of the spacer blocks used to lower the hitch? How far down was the hitch moved? Add blocks, use longer carriage bolts.
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #5 Posted March 4, 2013 I never measured them - and no longer have my 520-8. Here's a picture - if it helps:
Tankman 3,515 #6 Posted March 4, 2013 Thanks Terry. Looks as if the actual mount is 'bout 1/2" below the drawbar. I'll have to get my tape measure out later. Again, thanks. Nice lookin' "butt" on that 520-8!
