Spacer Blocks

Why was there spacer blocks used on the rear Axel mount when using a snow plow on the 520-8 speed?

So the forward cross pin of the rear extension didn't hit the bottom of the tranz case when the blade was raised.

TT, the rear bolted on hitch was also lowered I believe(?). Ah, spacer blocks.

What were the dimensions of the spacer blocks used to lower the hitch? How far down was the hitch moved?

Add blocks, use longer carriage bolts.

I never measured them - and no longer have my 520-8.

Thanks Terry. Looks as if the actual mount is 'bout 1/2" below the drawbar.

I'll have to get my tape measure out later.
