kj4kicks 151 #56 Posted August 10, 2008 OK, alot to catch up on here. First of all, here's the trailer inbound to Gator's place: Then we worked on the old 416 that hadn't run in YEARS. It actually cranked over with just a fresh battery, but there was a funny noise: Must have been all the rust from the engine cover, and all of the wildlife nesting material ! The cover is nearly rusted out on the bottom side. Then there was the fuel delivery issue: Add one remote Gator mounted fuel tank, and let her rip: Here's a short vid with sound : 16hp vid clip The trailer, re-loaded for the outbound trip: A gator tot..... with a steeeeeeeek ! linen beige 14 #60 Posted August 10, 2008 I had to rub my eyes..................twice! Is that a,a,a,ROUND HOOD on Eldon's trailer? :wtf: But just when I thought there might be hope for him yet, Mike had to spoil the feeling. B)
KyBlue 652 #61 Posted August 11, 2008 Okay this stinks... Not only did E pass thru my neck of th ewoods but Nick did too?? ARGH!! Well least your having a safe trip!!
kpinnc 10,968 #62 Posted August 11, 2008 I had to rub my eyes..................twice! Is that a,a,a,ROUND HOOD on Eldon's trailer? Yeah Jim, but I had to sneak it in there! Well, Shucks! E left about 7:00pm. I hated to see him go, but it was certainly nice to hang out and catch up. You won't find a nicer feller (fekker), and I certainly enjoyed the visit. We got a few things accomplished too. Obviously, the K341 is a runner, plus we got a mower deck straightened (TT, you're rubbing off on him with the "hawkeye" stuff), and the 701 at least has now made the attempt to run. All in all, It was a great visit. Hope he makes it back down here soon. Kevin
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,347 #63 Posted August 11, 2008 I thought my eyes was deceiving me also when I saw the round hood in the trailer. But, I forgot about Mike getting it. Oh, well. Looks like you guys had a nice, as well as a productive visit. Drive safely, Eldon, on your way back.
kj4kicks 151 #64 Posted August 12, 2008 Left gator's place, and decided to make a return trip to TT's, since the trailer was mostly full of stuff that would have had to come up for the NAMA show. Unloaded the C-160 and installed the ign switch from the old 416 in gatorland. TT fabbed me up a new wiring harness, fuel tank, donated a set of points and other odds & ends, and we got it fired up! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH !! Tested it out by pulling an Ariens that wouldn't start: A short vid with sound: C-160 RUNS Installed the mid-mount blade so it's ready to work on the garage project when I get home: Then got back to TT's Case project. Installed the engine, and took a spin: vid 1 vid 2 Time to run to town..... more later....
