I think once the wood is all complete he will work on lights. I told him to get 12volt LED rope lights and ring the whole inside of the trailer roof!

A BIG thanks for Jeff as usual. He always seems to get caught up in helping me with my projects. He even helped me drag the 5x8 open trailer out of the snow because a guy stopped by and bought it today. The interior is really looking pretty good. I have a few more finish pieces and then get her ready for paint. I will be painting the floor with epoxy gray base coat, red, black, white and gray flakes then finish coat of clear. It should look real nice. The walls will be just gray.

Actually me helping out today was payment for for Steve hooking me up with some of that epoxy coating and chips for the floor of my trailer  :banana-rainbow:

To tell the truth, it's nice living so close to a friend and fellow collector. Every time we get together it's like a mini meet and greet. We're helping each other out with some repair or project, or wheeling and dealing, or just b.s.-ing about tractors!

I wish I could have made it yesterday, its always a good time at Steve's place. I won a mower deck off Epay and I had to pick it up from some Hoarders place yesterday. The guy talked my friggin ear off, but I was polite and just listened until I finally found my opening to exit! (2hrs later!) I did manage to snag a set of Wheel Horse cast iron rear wheel weights and a nice K141 from him though. Got it home, cleaned ign. and carb and she runs sweet.

He wouldn't sell me one of at least ten Anvils he had though! Steve knows about this screwball, nice enough guy though.

The Hollywood Hotel is lookin pretty nice Steve! Did you manage to get the aluminum rims you wanted? I do have these GM rallye wheels here if you'd like them...

It's a shame about the tolls on a four wheel trailer. They are so much nicer to back than a two wheel trailer.  The other thing is I have come on home on three wheels when not loaded heavy.

If I know Steve he'll be riding load heavy and extra CASH HEAVY for the Big Show. A few extra bucks passin thru the tolls? No problemo! Now, if you have ever seen how much stuff Steve comes home with after the show....That can be a problemo! :ychain:

Here is a little update on the new horse hauler. I am pretty much done with the walls and ceiling. I primed them all last night and tonight I ended up top coating them. I did a test patch on the floor to see if I like the look or not. If I go this route then i will still need to clear coat over the base coat with flakes.

Have you considered getting thick sponge type foam and stacking it to make a matress from an upholstery or fabric store? Could be a cost effective solution... The 70s Coachmen RV my family had growing up had these kinds of matresses in awesome 70s velvet style covers.

Consider some sidewall "tie downs", they can really come in handy.

Looks really great, better than a lot of living rooms in houses.

Thanks guys. I think you hit the nail on the head with the thick foam for the matress (less the velvet LOL). @ Glenn- I have vertical "E" track coming that will be put up on the walls along with the "E" track on the lower sides or floor.

I also ordered a new set of rims and tires. I plan on removing the rear barn doors and fabricating a fold down door. That is the reason the rear doors are not painted.

Today I was able to get the floor painted. I still need to apply the final clear epoxy over this but overall it looks pretty good. I also installed the "E" track on the sides. Once the floor is done I plan on installing another e track down the middle of the floor.

Today I got the new rims and tires from UPS. They were not here longer than 15 mins before I changed them out. I think they look pretty good. Oh and one picture of the rat hauling some wood...

After looking at the fenders a little closer they need to be replaced. On the laundry list of things to do to the trailer still are the following:

1- Fabricate a drop down rear door.

2- Change the fenders

3- Paint the exterior

4- Figure out the front interior shelf/bed set up.

5- Install front and side diamond plate stone guards.

Indeed, that is what I meant.

Oh, Hey Steve, you aren't actually going to drive a trailer onto that shiny new floor are you? :ychain:

Today I coaxed Fireman (Jeff) to stop over so we could go "shopping"... Here are a few of the goodies we got. We ran to home depot, harbor frieght and then stopped by the local steel yard to pick up the materials I need to start fabricating the new rear drop down door. I hope to start on the door over the weekend. We called KenB to see if he was around but he was probably at TSC buying a new splitter..... lol

My other question is what color should I paint the shelf? White like the walls or Gray with flakes like the floor??
