another bent lift arm

Recommended Posts

Whmaverick

I call this my freebee tractor cause I got it as part of a package deal on CL, there was a 74'C-160 auto all original, a nearly mint short frame 42" snow plow and a rear mount tiller with everything but the belt. Ended up selling the tiller to a guy for more than i paid for the whole package. anyway as i was going over the tractor I found the lift arm was bent. it seems that every tractor I get I gotta fix the bent up rods on the lift arm. anybody else see this very often?post-8263-0-87961900-1359330555.jpg post-8263-0-82087600-1359330630.jpg post-8263-0-00421100-1359330664.jpg

looks like the rollers on the front of the deck dug in or hit something really hard and the rod took all the force.....

or the arms themselves have dropped and dug in while no deck is attached..

Both of the parts tractors I tore apart had bent arms. But not near that bad. What surprised me was that both frames had excellent transmission mounting plates and no cracks. The 416 had over 3000 hours on it and was abused but no frame damage.

Didn't take pics of it but I made little triangle braces for my worker out of 1/8" plate and welded them in. I'll see if I can get it off tomorrow and post a pic of it.

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.
