A Pennsylvania Railroad T1 Steam locomotive:

i-42kq8Rp.jpg

Fifty two T1 locomotives were built from 1942 to 1946. One of the most technologically advanced steam locomotives ever built..

they were fast and powerful passenger train locomotives..

but they were only used until 1952, when the diesel invasion made them obsolete..none survived the scrappers torch..

Scot

Scot glad to see another "foamer" around here but mine would have to be a Lehigh Valley Alco C-628 in the snowbird scheme of coarse...

2800 horsepower of pure 4 cycle turbocharged diesel fury, smoked like a steam engine under load, pulled so hard they literally tore up the rails underneath them.

None survived all fell to the scrapper's torch except for a few units that went to Mexico but I think they met the same fatetr_lv626.jpg

Nice! Yes, a surviving snowbird would be a beautiful thing..

Only three C628's survive, but none in the USA!

Two are in museums in Mexico, one was a Delaware & Hudson unit!

the other belonged to a Mexican railroad when new..

and a third C628 is preserved in Australia.

I would retrieve my 1969 RS Camaro. just a small block 327, 2 speed powerglide but had some headers, 4 barrel carb and a lopey cam. sold it back in 83 when I joined the Army. right thing to do , at the time, just married and baby...but wish there was a way to time capsule it.

I think I would go back to 1967 and relive that blizzard we had...24" of snow in 24 hours. I am really missing the snow the last 2 years. :)

Only Steve would wish for SNOW!!! :) I'd get a 70 Chevelle SS 454 450 HP with a trailer hitch, a nice trailer and the baddest WH on it with every attachment made for it. Oh also some good tie downs!

I never had a fancy or fast car, but I have witnessed many of the Muscle Cars that have been mentioned here.

I would love to have the 1967 HONDA 305 Dream motorcycle that I sold back in '74. Heck, that bike was only 7 years old when I sold it....My Gold Wing that I am riding now was 16 years old when I bought it!

Its a toss up between one of my first few cars, either the 64 1/2 sprint or the 67GT fastback Mustangs or the 71GT torino 351C 4sp. But if I could only bring one back, it would be the 71 Newport 2dr, it was so basic it only had one side veiw mirror and a AM radio, BUT it had a 440HP police interceptor. HOLY crap that thing was dangerous in the hands of a 17yr old! LOL!
