Need help identifying my mower deck

Recommended Posts

Sorry to bother you all with another mower deck identification question. But I received this mower deck free when I bought a 1962 552 Wheel Horse a few years ago. The deck was not attached to the tractor. Based on pics I've seen of other 552 tractors with mower decks, I really don't believe this mower deck was designed for a 552 WH. Any help identifying it for me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They used that style of deck on a few of the old rear engine riders too......

I'll see what I can dig up. :thumbs2:

The pulley is on the wrong side for a horizontal shaft engine. I checked the manual section and came up with this: REO rear engine rider 1967 RR-47

You may make it fit with the right parts, the deck look good. The pulley and shaft need to change sides, don't know if if it would be in the right place when changed. Then you would need the correct attachment brackets.

Thanks guys... looks like it is something that I will have no use for.

So then, today I picked up this 32" mower deck with a box of additional parts off of CL for $30. It's in great shape... perfectly straight, no dents or rust at all. The PO says it came off of an 854 WH. But looking at it closely and comparing it to parts lists that I do have, it appears to be a RMR-3262 (1962) mower deck. The front of the deck is open with no screw holes to mount a front cover plate. I am thinking this should be exactly what I need to put on my dad's 1962 552 restoration project. Again, any help at all confirming it this one is indeed a mower deck for a 1962 552 tractor would be greatly appreciated.
