Started the $20 B-80 today!!

Recommended Posts

Kevbo

So I began stripping apart the $20 B-80 that I snagged on Wednesday to find that the engine starts and runs great! I was shocked...we began stripping parts and decided to try out the tranny. Funny picture below of how I rode it around my yard! Sadly, as I drove it around I blew the carb bowl gasket!! So then I got it back into the garage as it sputtered along spitting gas and began the complete pull apart. I will keep everyone updated as this will for sure be a weekend by weekend project. You can tell this tractor was kept outside...

You did really good on that one Kevin! It was the Marvel Mystery Oil that brought that old Horse back to life :ROTF:

I noticed the new bottle on your workbench.

And whats with that YELLOW mowing deck ???????????? Are you hiding a JD in your garage???????

Haha that yellow deck is from my old John Deere that I blew the engine on in October. After that I bought the 414-8 and got hooked! I sold the broken John Deere for $325 and used that money to buy a C-81 and then I sold a broken Craftsman I had for $150 along with an old computer I rebuilt for $150 as well and used that money to buy a 312-8 on eBay. That John Deere deck along with some spare parts is last to go! I'll use that money to probably get another Wheel Horse hehe
