Wishin4a416 2,189 #1 Posted December 31, 2012 Last week I asked about the front axle for a 416-8 and was it the same as a C-160 axle and was told yes by some helpful forum members. So I blasted and painted it for my restoration project. Now I need to know if the frames are the same. If so I will blast and paint it for the 160. Im hesitant to tear the 160 down right now because it is so dern cold in my garage and am doing the small parts I can scavage from the 416 to use on the 160. The 160 is a 77 and the 416 is an 87. I tryed to look on the Toro site with the model numbers but am getting no results. It hasnt worked for me for 2 Days but it used to. I dont know whether their down or I am doing something wrong. Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) No it will not work, you will need a frame from a tractor that has the gas tank mounted under the fender, (78 newer) there are extra support bars for the rear of the foot rest. And with that said there may be some holes still not there but will depend on the tractor you get it from. Edited December 31, 2012 by Kelly
Wishin4a416 2,189 #3 Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks Kelly! I figured it was to easy to work that way. I'll just keep working on smaller parts until the weather breaks and can tear the 160 down.
