Does anyone here have a stationary gas engine ?

I have just bought this Orchard sprayer which has a Lister Type D engine with a Drake & fletcher pump

with 50 gallon water tank.

Although the Lister engine is quite poplular here in UK the Pump is very Rare .

The pump is an open crank type & the crank is made of solid brass

I have two K-181's and K-301 sitting on shelves...do they count :ychain: ?

Nice looking project, and with shiny brass bling it'll look great all fixed up. Will it pickup water with a remote hose? Could it be used to pump out a flood situation or does it only work with with fluid from the tank?

Mike....

Hi Mike

yes it would pick up water from say a well or flood water , so it may come in some good use here especially with all the flooding problems that we are getting here in UK

Sorry Neil, this thread got away from me, and I wanted to post some of the pictures of these hit & miss engines that I have taken at some of the shows. While they are expensive, there is a certain fascination watching them and listening to them run. :)

At the local steam pageant this past year they had them from the big giant monsters that when they fired your pant legs would ripple all the way down to ones that would fit into your hand! :happy-jumpeveryone:
