Any differences...

between the 854, and a 702 front axle...to include spindles, and steering componets?

Can I swap 'em, and expect them to be the same?

There is a difference, but can't remember what it is. I think the steering radius is tighter on the 854 tho....

No, they're different. The 702 uses the Suburban type axle, and the steering arms are on the top. The steering system is completely different too.

Also I seem to think that the pivot pin through the center is smaller.

Cant find the picture I wanted, but this shows the 702 styple axle/steering. (This is my 502 but its the same tractor minus the Kohler)
