Recommended Posts

I just got a c-141 with kolher k321as motor and was going to change oil, but i can't find oil drain plug. I look in service manuals and can't find it there either. If anyone knows where its located please let me know, thanks Gordon

There should be a tube, strait down from the bottom of the oil pan with a cap on it, most times the tube comes out with the cap.

That's how it's set up on my C-105 also (K241 engine). If you have a mower deck installed, you might want to remove it for the oil change, so you have room to slide a drain pan directly under the engine. You don't want to spill oil on your mower belts, plus it's a good time to check out your deck more carefully.

And :WRS: , wherever your shed is located. :)

You might not have the drain tube. Could be a replacement engine or tube was damaged and removed.

There will be an oil change plug in the oil pan. I had a 25hp Kohler, had to add my own tube. Oil changes without the tube were a real pain in the you-know-what!

If the drain tube is missing, replace with a street elbow, nipple, pipe cap (ref. items #'s 18, 13 & 12 on the drawing).

For starters take a peek-a-boo on the Kohler website; Item 6.

My 14hp Magnum has a tube that has a 1/4 turn cap at the end. The tube extends off the side near oil filter. Although other models had the standard square plug, which like Tankman has mentioned could be a real pain to change the oil.

Totally different set-up than a solid-mounted engine with the big oil pan.

The C-141 has the smaller oil pan / rubber-mounted engine. As previously stated, those models would originally have a pipe nipple, a coupler, and an allen head pipe plug sticking straight down out of the bottom of the pan.

Thanks for the help, with a putty knife & trouble light I found the plug, previous owner removed the pipe and it was just the allenhead plug in the oil pan. again, thanks to all who replied.

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.
