SteveBo and I let our Seniors have a "play date" today!

Recommended Posts

Seeing as it was a nice day today, SteveBo and I let our Seniors horse around today. We checked out all the subtle differences between the two. His next door neighbor, who was my 7th grade english teacher, also took pics with his good camera (We'll post those pics when he's done with them). I also took comparison shots with his Economy (somebody had asked about it).

I'm not in to the real old ones my interest starts with the 701 and up, but I do have to say if I had to pick a older tractor one of those would be the one, I like the hoods they just set them off, you did good picking that up.

That tool box is a Fordson. It was put on by the original owner. Thanks for all the great comments guys! I live for days like today.

Great lookin' equipment! All three.

My first tractor was a '32 Farmall, didn't like the crank start at all. :-)

Used the Farmall only for parades at the Rough 'n Tumble, Kinzers, PA.

Those "Seniors" should attend!

To think we ***** about the Toro/wheel horses of today with the plastic hoods, and they started out as fiberglass back in the day, these are both very cool

Quick question -

When I see pics of these tractors I can't recall ever seeing any attachments for them. Question is - back in the day, what did one use these tractors for and what implements did they use? Was a mowing deck available, moldboard plow, rear lift and pto, etc. What attachments did Wheelhorse offer for them? Any pics of tractors with implements?

Just curious.

Thanks!

Bill

Bill,

I know Jeff has a rear bottom plow and harrow for his. Mine used to have a front and rear mounted plow but they are long gone. Not sure what other attachments they may have had. Would be interested in any information others have. Good question-
