Muffler Paint Job (before/during/after)

Today I took the advice of many of our member's by purchasing the VHT Flameproof high temp paint in order to redo my muffler on my 414-8. Let me know what you think!

Before...

Steel wool to smooth out the rust spots.

1st light coat of VHT

Last nice thick coat of VHT

End result! (what do you think?)

I'm hoping this lasts and does not blister too bad...we shall see in the spring!

As long as you follow the procedure for curing you should be okay.

That turned out looking great. :handgestures-thumbupright: I used Rustoleum High heat black and am really not happy with it.After awhile it flaked and tuned gray .

On the tractor 10/20 min of run/cool then 20/20 then 30/20

I baked a set of shorty headers for one of my cars in the oven, I'll never hear the end of that one, I told her, but the engine is not ready to start yet and I need to bake the paint at 500 deg, well there is a first and last time for everything, and that was it.

I just bought some Rustoleum High Heat to try on my car's stainless exhaust system (they still corrode in the NE), maybe I will take it back and use the VHT.
