Paint for Muffler?

Recommended Posts

Kevbo

Does anyone have any recommendations for a high heat paint to be used on my 414-8 muffler? Which color would you prefer black or red? Thanks all!

VHT Flameproof in flat black or cast iron is my choice.

I've had good results with grill paint.

Comes in semi gloss black rattle cans.

Most of your local auto parts stores, plus there's some listed on ebay too.

Hi temp grill paint, RustOleum. Dull but works. Never peels or cracks.

I'm goin' to look for some gloss black hi temp but the RustOleum works well and I pick it up at Home "Cheapo" 'bout a mile from me.

I'm kickin' myself in the butt, I gave away two like new Screamin' Eagle chrome mufflers. I would use them now.
