JC 1965 1,532 #1 Posted November 6, 2012 I would like to install two LED flood lights on my C121 in case i have to clean my driveway after dark. The lights are 18 watt with 1350 lumens of output. If i decide to purchase these lights, do i have to wire them any special way ( use a relay ? etc. ) or can i just power them straight from the accessory terminal on the ignition switch. The lights only draw about 1.8 amps each. Also what size fuse should i use ? Any help appreciated. :thumbs2: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
KC9KAS 4,744 #2 Posted November 6, 2012 At 3.6 total amps, you can go directly to your accessory terminal. I would fuse it at 10 amps and use 16 gauge wire. Here is a double edge sword........LED lights do not produce very much (if any) heat.....good for the electrical system, BUT.....LED lights won't melt off any snow that accumulates on them..
