hydraulic lift valve not holding pressure

Recommended Posts

posifour11

I'm guessing that i need to rebuild my spool valve. It will lift my deck just fine but within a few minutes, it has dropped down again. The trans is full and there is no leak.

So, where do i get the components to rebuild it? And how difficult is it?

Thanks, Russell

If it is the valve and it is one like in this manual....

Parts should be available at any hydraulic shop....

Thanks. I'll compare it to mine.

If your spool valve is leaking internally it is just scrap iron. A seal kit for the spool valve is for external leaks.

My bet is the piston seal in you lift cylinder is bad or the bore is scored.

it certainly isn't leaking externally. Am i to assume that a c-125 is one of those with the welded cylinders?

No actually a C-125 should have a rebuildable cylinder. Pop out the snap ring pull out the guts and inspect the shaft and bore for scoring if it looks good then get the o-rings and seals from a hydraulic shop or even Motion Industries.
