Nick 13 #1 Posted July 25, 2008 Noticed in Mikes Lawn ranger post that he has been using electrolytic rust removal. I just the other day tried it for the first time and had fairly good results. Started to just sand the rust off but thought the soda might if nothing else wash the calcium off the rim so my bug bomb paint job might stick more than a week. I was in a rush and didn't let it sit long enough but do believe it made the rust come of easier. Also didnt follow any directions just dumped in some soda then hooked the battery charger negative to the rim and positive to a few pieces of angle iron around the rim. Maybe next time I'll try to follow the online directions and see if it doesnt work better. I might be very easy to amuse but had to shoot some video of the rusty bubbles coming off the rim. :horseplay: Oh and the kitten is out on loan so maybe he will be gone.
