Rebuilt my trailer for the first time!

Hammerhead

I bought this el cheapo trailer about 5 years ago. The floor boards weren't pressure treated lumber so they rotted out in 5 years! The wood was so rotted that it would barely hold up a WH for my last tractor show! It took a couple of weeks to get it all redone. My buddy fabricated 4 brackets to strap down the 'Horse's. Also fabbed up a heavy duty winch mount system. Then I added the el cheapo 2000 lb winch so I could pull my Struck Mini Dozer home. All in all I spent around $400.00 to get it all like new again. I added some used tires too that a buddy gave me, he was going to trash them due to a factory recall. After he bought new tires, he found out these weren't in the recall! So he didn't want them and I got 'em for free. Wahooooo!065-1.jpg018-7.jpg026-6.jpg

Looks good! I just got done doing the same thing on mine! I replaced the original torx tappers they used to secure the boards with stainless carriage bolts. The trailer I have is 5x14.

Hammerhead...Nice looking trailer. I hope to find a tandem trailer "cheapo" someday!

My current trailer is a 1967 COX brand pop-up camper frame. It was my brothers, but now the whole family uses it.

It is 54" wide and 120" long. It pulls nice, but only has 12" tires and 1000# capacity. I can only get 1 GT and attachment at a time on the trailer....or dads golf cart...not both!
