TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #2 Posted July 24, 2008 If I happen to see some moose in central PA, I'll know why. Seriously though..... Hope you don't encounter anything bad, Micah! B)
Duff 206 #3 Posted July 24, 2008 What the Heck! I'm used to Blizzard warnings but Tornados! Same here, Micah! The darned things just went through NH a very short time ago headed your way. No "confirmed" sightings of twisters - yet - but a ton of damage and one death just southeast of me. This is one weird summer! Keep your head down, your spirits up, and good luck! MaineDad 85 #5 Posted July 24, 2008 The Tornado watch has ended. No reported tornados here in Maine yet. We are still under a sever thunderstorm warning. A lot of high winds and unbelievable rain. Lost power for about 3 hours but back on now. We have another round that is supposed to come through later. There were several reported twisters in NH - one know dead with 50 to 100 homes damaged. Everyone in NH OK? Fun in New England B)
Duff 206 #6 Posted July 25, 2008 There were several reported twisters in NH - one known dead with 50 to 100 homes damaged. Everyone in NH OK? Minor washouts around the property and a few tree limbs down, but me, the wife, puppies and the horses (she's got a quarter horse; I've got the wheeled version!) are OK. Sun even came out for a few minutes just before dark. Really pity the poor folks who got whacked south and east of here. You didn't mention any damage - everything OK with you? MaineDad 85 #7 Posted July 25, 2008 All is fine here. Just some limbs down and huge ponding in the yard. The gardens are OK but I have to firm up the big broccoli plants. The wind blew them down too Most of Penobscot county is without power due to a lightning strike at the power company Bangor Hydro. Get the C batteries out Thanks for asking Duff
