414-8 Dash Lights

Only one light on the Horses' dash works, the oil light.

Don't know why, never felt the need for lamps, but, they are there to fix.

Can the bulbs be replaced?

Picked up this Stallion without a battery. There was a plastic tray which I washed

and used for the new battery I installed.

I have a bungee cord keepin' the battery in place. How were the original

batteries secured?

i think the bulbs are avaiable at radio shack,the batt is held in with 2 rods that have 90 degree turns on the bottom,they hook in down beside the battery,the tops are threaded,another rod with a hoop on each side fits on top of the battery with the threaded parts of the side rods through the hoops and then washer and nuts to tighten it,ive made a couple sets and they are very easy to replicate,look onwww.parts tree.com for pics of these parts

Ordered at partstree.com, inexpensive 'nough.

Work well and ditched the bungee cord.

Next time, I make my own usin' 1/4" SS rod, thread the verticals enough to bolt down.

414-8 was also missing foot pads, as I've done before, used coarse skateboard grip tape.

Holds up well, easy to apply, one $5.00 US, inexpensive. :)
