My New "Horse Hauler"

Recommended Posts

Brrly1

Well its been sixteen years and over 200,000 in my last new truck. So I broke down and bought a new truck. I think this will pull just about any trailer filled with horses. I am already planning a trip est to the big show. I will have to see what kind of trailer I end up with but I really don't think I will have to worry. Let me know what you think of the new ride.

That'll pull anything. Great looking too. Good luck with it. 200,000 on the last one...you've earned this one.

Well, so far it has been roughly 15 to 16 in town, hiway is averaging 20 to 21 with 1500 on it so far. Steve I don't know when but I feel there will be something soon. Loving it!

John, I don't know anything about an update? Is that something Ford offered or Ford Racing? I am not going to do anything that would ruin my warranty. I have five year bumper to bumper warranty. I spent the extra dollars to be sure that the truck would be taken care of for its first five years irreguardless.

Nice looking truck. I have got the same thing but several years older. Got the IH 7.3 in it. Been long time since I looked at new trucks. I take it that the Fords stop using the IH engine? and when did they stop? Just curious. I know they had some trouble with them awhile back just not sure what it was. My 7.3 been fine all these years but there again it just cracked 120,000 mile mark this year. More rust than wear.

Very nice. A good friend and fellow WH enthusiast purchased the F-250 diesel Lariat earlier this year, also in white. 400 hp, 800 fp of torque, super quiet, super powerful, and he's getting about 18-19mpg around town (he has a very light foot). All the bells & whistles...I'm afraid I covet my neighbor's truck!!!!

Congrats on the new hauler.
