401 wth electric start

Recommended Posts

tractornut86

I owned this tractor 5 years ago and I finally got it back. As far as i can tell and from what i have been told it has the factory electric start which was a uncommon option on the 401.

Thats very neat! I have never seen that done. It looks like factory done but I have no way of guaranteeing it.~Jake

A 110 volt electric starter kit is listed at $34.95 on a 1959 retail price sheet I have.

The 12 volt kit (with battery) went for a whopping $59.95!

That is the same starter set up I got from Kelly except it is 110v and made for a clinton. Is yours 110v or 12?
