A guy I work with says to come and get an unwanted Bolens outa his yard and I never pass up a freebie that might make me a buck on E-bay to fund my red habit.

To bad the motors locked up, I woulda loved to try it once.

Oh well, I just hope its on a Bolens guy's "gotta have it list"!

Mike Terry and I kisked around ideas about customizing one of theose in a thread on here a few months back. We were talking about changing out the sheet metal to something like a black hood, and adding a rear winch etc. A custom WH log skidder of sorts. I'll try to find the thread. It all started because there was a bolens like that on CL in OH for something like $50. I bought other horses and never got it, but I still thought they were cool little tractors B)

My dad had one of those. It was great for mowing around trees. It's weak point was that articulated joint. He had to repair it a couple times. Weak stampings.

Pretty cool Mike...to bad it doesn't run.

I had one for a while & my son used to drive it for hours getting dizzy.

I'm thinking mine was a "Lawn Keeper" though.

It should do well on ebay if you choose to do so.

pretty neat little bolens. maybe kick around for a motor to put in it. vertical's are a dime a dozen in cheap or free junk tractors.

try and unlock the engine. check pulleys & belts also for lock-up. you never know

should make for a good ebay item .
