Got a new horse this weekend

Hi All,

Well I am the proud owner of a C-141. It is a funny story on how I got it though...We were at the Old Tyme Days on Dover, PA where there is a big tractor show and consignment auction. The auction had about 25+ wheel horses, but no round hoods and nothing really spectactular. I however have been wanting a 14-16 hp hydro tractor...there were 2 c-141's at the show, I wanted the first one to go off, but it went for $360...too rich for my blood especially since the battery was dead and there was no gas in the tank. So the next one comes up, and I was getting excited as the WH ahead of mine were going for $20-$30...score!! :D Then mine comes up, and I hit my limit for this one especially since the motor is frozen :( I walk away, but Jim decides to see if it took just one more which I didnt see till it was too late...well that is what it took...lol. I am definately happy I got it, and everything is there. Getting it back to the trailer was another interesting adventure...we took my 701 back and hooked up the 4 wheel cart, I hopped in the cart and went for a ride, once I settled my bill, I went back up, hooked the cart to the 141 and put the tow strap on Jim's tractor. then it was the trek back to the trailer with the wagon train. I know that Katefrom LAGT snapped a pic so who knows we may be in the magazine. So once we got it back to the trailer, I couldnt wait to see if we could figure out the issue with the engine (if you can't tell, Im very impatient) I checked the tank and it does have old stale gas in it, and I already started on the motor (PB Blaster down the hole where the spark plug goes). I didnt see if the pb blaster has done its job yet as we loaded it up and there are some horses behind her, not to mention having to clean the garage this week. There will be pics soon, and I am sure I will be picking your brains on this new project horse!

Karen

The motor probably is locked up but there is the remote chance that there is something blocking the flywheel from turning. I've seen a K series Kohler that wouldnt budge but after the mouse crud, nest material, crap and acorns were removed she spun over just fine.

Got my fingers crossed for ya!

Good luck with the C-141, a worthy Horse!

Could have used one when I lived on Brownsville Road, a few tough winters, long ago.

I'm working on a Raider 12, in Perkasie. Just started workin' on the 48" deck, not too bad.

Bad enough but it does work.

Have fun!

I hope that you find something simple keeping that engine from turning. I also tried to move the flywheel with no success, but it's a Kohler!!!! What can be so bad? Good luck Karen.

By the way, I happened to see the little convoy of Jim pulling Karen pulling the trailer. Didn't think to get a picture.

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.
