Tractor/ATV/Motorcycle workstand/lift

I got a used Duralast (Advance auto type) motorcycle/HPV Jack. After using it a couple times it stopped pumping up. The unit is relatively new appearing. Does anybody ever have an issue with the bottle Jack?, which does not look like it can be replaced easily.

Ok simple question did you check the fluid?

I will check. there is a red plastic cover that says "Do not Adjust" (like a mattress tag!) and only other fitting is a flat philips head brass fitting that sits flush. never had to mess with adding hydraulic fluid to a jack. no owners maual and none on internet. any down and dirty techniques? amount? lay it flat? etc thanks in "advance" get it?
