I realize the audience here, generally, does not listen to hard rock (judging by this thread.)

Still, I wanted to share what Donna & I will be listening to this weekend:

Boardwalk Rock will be held in Ocean City, MD on May 17-18 and it will feature the following:

May 17:

Def Leppard
Rob Zombie
Halestorm
Bush
Chevelle
Flyleaf (with Lacey Sturm)
Mammoth WVH
The Struts
Extreme
Puddle Of Mudd
Everclear
Trapt
Kat Von D
Royale Lynn

May 18:

Nickelback
Shinedown
Three Days Grace
Alice Cooper
Bret Michaels
Candlebox
Night Ranger
Crossfade
Dorothy
Black Stone Cherry
Lit
Fuel
Saliva
Tim Montana"

Well, my wife loved Def Leppard, my sister-in-law & husband loved Shinedown, Bush,  & Halestorm, and I, being the warped one, I guess, loved Rob Zombie & liked Alice Cooper.  (He is definitely past his prime at 77, though.)

70,000 people.  Donna had crowd anxiety, I was just annoyed at how slowly people were walking. 😆.

I am REALLY disappointed because Rob Zombie commented on my tee shirt in the crowd after his show was over, and I didn't recognize him without his stage makeup or realize it was him until about 10 minutes after I walked past him.

Her voice sounds to me a little like janis joplin.

Snotty cheaky - i like the vibrato and timbre in her voice but this is more the smoothly version

Yeah, She can definitely sing!  That bit of a raspie voice does give the Janice Joplin vibe like Stephan noticed.

Makes me want go out and start buying gas station flowers now!  (Sad, but some loser dude ruined her)

What an amazing display of musical talent (plus the multi-track tech to handle the different parts)!

(I’d have preferred a tiny bit less fuzzbox, but who am I to complain?!)

RIP Mick Ralphs, the influential guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the iconic rock bands Bad Company and Mott The Hoople, has died. He was 81.

I've been a fan of Nuno for several decades. The first Extreme album...

Look up the first Extreme.

It's got a pile of ridiculous songs. Fun listen.

I guess I’m not that old😁 I know of or listen to 99% of this list there’s only 5 bands I haven’t heard of on it. It kinda looks like my playlist on YouTube. I’ve seen Bush and Live at a concert and it was worth the money even though it was raining and freezing.

@HyperPete

That's quite the list !

Several years ago I worked with a fella who had a family connection to Extreme.

He had some cool stories of BBQ encounters and the first time they met Nuno.

Side bonus... I now have a slew of Extreme CDs too.

Who remembers  "The sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel?

A cover by Disturbed is a bit more powerful. Never heard this until tonight but here's both versions.

And the original
