What Are You Listening To?

I get a kick out of her little grins too Don. I'm glad you caught that. The guy on the guitar is no slouch either. I believe that's her Dad. Sina has 100's of cover videos with many millions of views. A good number of them are not my cup of tea but I still love watching them, As one fan put it 'Sina doesn't just play the drums well, she dances with them". :)

I've seen a few of her videos as well.

Absolutely fantastic and obviously loves what she's doing.

extra dose of the Smashing Pumpkins today

Disarm - from the Siamese Dream album

this was a 'tweener' period for the early Pumpkins ;  mid point of a terrific trio :   Gish - Siamese Dream - Melancholy

and also for Billy Corrigan appearance wise:  long curly hair - short hair - no hair

Disarm - live from the Metro (1993) with cellist

Sina just posted her cover of Billy Idol's Rebel Yell, one of my favorites. Just wow, she's so much fun to watch!

Also like bluegrass, celtic and just different music. I get bored listening to the same thing all the time!

Perhaps because of my northern European descent, I've always had a particular draw to the music of the area.

Here's a few...

And an explanation of the hurdy gurdy

Also check out Nightwish. Faun. And from Mongolia, The HU.

I have been following Patty Gurdy for awhile and she is really talented. She created some songs for the Amazon show Carnival Row.   https://smile.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B086D86X4X/ref=atv_hm_hom_1_c_iEgOEZ_2_34

and I think she has collaborated with Faun. I really like Jane Erie and The snake charmer too!

I was gonna post one of theirs but wasn't sure of the content given that it's a foreign language to me.

Great stuff.

I plugged Bob Rivers & Twisted Radio 'I am Santa Clause' CD in while I cooked breakfast this morning.

My favorite is 'O Christmas Tree', featuring a logger named "Big Dog" playing the chainsaw solo.

I do fully understand that this particular thread is about LISTENING to things but in this case you may want to WATCH what the fella does with a drumstick...

I've been away from my laptop for a couple of weeks (technical difficulties), but I'm back and wanted to post a couple of things from Leslie West, who passed away a few days before Christmas.  May he rest in peace.

Mountain was one of my very first seriously LOUD concerts my freshman year in college, so it's accurate to say the ringing in my ears started with them, I hold no grudge.  Mississippi Queen was one of my favorites back then, and I saw Leslie much later in his career doing his take on Crossroads, absolutely blew the place apart.  Enjoy these with the volume way up...

It’s been a tough three weeks . On December 13 after staying with me for a week helping me out , my nephew left my house and was killed in a car accident 2mi. From my house . He was a amazing 17yr old kid and brought joy and smiles to everyone who met him. There was never a dull moment with this kid as he live life to its fullest . This was his favorite song and thought I would share it with you guys on the start of the new year. Here’s to you Ben  GOD SPEED !

‘why this guy isn’t being played on the radio is beyond me.
