Help with my drive belt

Recommended Posts

B-8074

I've been freshening up my c-175 worker and I'm almost done. I put on the new belt and when I engage the transmission the belt almost touches together. And when it is disengaged I can take it off with out any trouble. Is this normal? It's a toro belt #93-9809 and I called the dealer to double check. It just doesn't look right. And if you look at the pics you can see that if I took off the fan I could just slip off the belt.

What model number is your tractor? I see a 83" belt #108502 listed also.

93-9809 is 83-1/2" long.

If I remember correctly you had the same problem a couple of years ago. What belt did you use then? You got it from Jacks Wheel Horse in Sarver!!

Try P/N 108501 5/8" X 81"

The belt chart lists the 108502 for the 17hp automatic - 83"

The 17hp 8-speed uses 107939 or 93-9809 - 83-1/2"

The 14hp auto uses the 108501.- 81-1/2"

Garry

Adding - this is also consistent with the original parts manual

I just looked at 3 of my 520's and the 145 auto with a eaton trans, all look about like yours, I have about 1/2" between the belt at the pulley like pictured.

I checked and double checked with jacks wheel horse and he said. that it's the correct belt. I gave him the model # of the tractor and the # of the belt I thought it was supposed to be #108502. I drove it last night and it seems just fine, I would even go as far to say it's better than before. I use to get a loud wine when I engaged the pump and now I don't. Maybe my old belt was to tight and puting to much stress on the pump. Something to check into for all the guys asking "why does my hydro squeel". Thanks for the help and look for the new and improved C-175 in the restoration section under worker restore.

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.

1979 c-101 nice project tractor just needs a few odds and ends, steering wheel, coil, carburetor bowl, the wiring was redone by previous owner....all 4 tires are good and hold air it goes into all gears no problem, transmission fluid has been changed, 10hp Kohler, message me or call or txt with any questions, it does run and runs well,  it’s been kept inside since I’ve had it, I would also trade for a mid mount grader blade thanks
