Buckshot 1 15 #1 Posted June 3, 2012 On all the k-seires I have worked on the governor shaft had a c-clip to keep it from pulling thru the brass nut. I ordered a new governor shaft for a K 301 I am rebuilding and the new shaft came with a spacer and no c-clip. No instructions on which side of the shaft the spacer goes, cly side or block side. Has anybody run into this, if so which side? Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #2 Posted June 3, 2012 I have never seen a K series with a c-clip on the governor shaft. Cross shaft goes in block, then the spacer, then the brass (bushing) nut.

Buckshot 1 15 #4 Posted June 4, 2012 Thank you guys for your replies. I am surprised that no one has seen a governor shaft with a c-clip. TT, your information is very helpful. when I get my block back from the machine shop, I can get back on my rebuild. If i could fiqure out how to post pictures I will put one up of the shaft with the c-clip.
