can whlvr 994 #1 Posted May 29, 2012 so after a winter like no others, and more snow in april than january and february,we have been in a drought, ive never had to water perrenials in may,ive had to water 2 times, yesterday was about 95 and humid and sunny with wind, some of my shrubs and perrenials were wilted like ive never seen,i have dust in places that are wet in august, and i HATE mowing in such dusty conditions, allthough the grass isnt growing fast, its like mid september growth, ive allways thought that mowing is the hardest on these machines because of the dust and heat, ihave had to change the air filter every mowing, its getting costly, and today was supposed to rain and we didnt get enogh to wet my gravel drive and now the sun is out again with wind, that is drying things out way to much, hows it been where you all live

stevasaurus 23,340 #4 Posted May 29, 2012 Don...get ready for the magnetic field to change 180. Remember the Myans?? I think at the end of the year any compass will point south instead of north. Don't ask me what it all means, I get messed up with day light savings. :) :)

Jake Kuhn 1,579 #7 Posted May 30, 2012 No rain here for the last week. It hasn't been much over 80 but is staying pretty dry. Haven't had it get dusty enough to ruin an air filter but everything needs mowed again so i don't know how it will go. Jake

whc160 80 #10 Posted May 30, 2012 Dry here in Ohio also. In the 90's all weekend. The last time we had a good rain was on Mother's Day. We had storms in the forecast but they went around us. At least it is going to cool down after today.
specialwheelhorse 174 #11 Posted June 6, 2012 Been in the 90s here for sometime and windy but WHOOoopee we just got 2.2 inches a couple hours ago. Maybe things will green up again. But isn't it amazing how well weeds grow no matter. Jim in Texas
