Fixed a DCL panel

Ever had a DCL panel look like this?

Well, I wanted to make a plastic guide for mine, but I'm out of the stuff I use for such things. But, I had a piece of 1/4 aluminum plate.

I really wish I had a milling machine, but I don't. You could probably turn 5 of these out in an hour with one, but all I have is a cordless drill and a porta-band. 90 minutes after starting, I had this:

The test fit was OK. Now I just gotta paint the original plate. The aluminum is pretty hard stuff for aluminum, so hopefully it will last a while.

Not sure yet Mike. I'm gonna try to make it, but I won't know for sure until just before the show.
