Hodge71 663 #1 Posted May 22, 2012 Heres the 2 latest things that have come to roost at the house...Wheel Horse Dump Cart from 1973 $67 and the 60 inch mower deck for the Suburban 551 project was more than that, but It was everything that Charles (CRE1992) said it was and definitely worth the wait. He is truly a first class guy. I wish we had a whole day to talk tractors.... Now to get moving forward on these things in time for big show

varosd 1,185 #6 Posted May 22, 2012 60 inch deck on a Suburban 550 project? perhaps the 73 18hp Auto involved, somehow? I'm sure we will find out in Jun!
Hodge71 663 #7 Posted May 22, 2012 Well it looks like the 551 fits over the 60" deck but I'm gonna have to stretch things out a bit framewise on it....ya know so I can steer.... lol. I forgot to post a pic of another aquistion for the 18...I know its not supposed to be on there but I needed a hitch and I couldnt pass on the price of this one off a 420 LSE... He is truly a first class guy. I wish we had a whole day to talk tractors.... Now to get moving forward on these things in time for big show Thanks Jeff your not to shabby yourself... I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to make it to the show. There was a ton of stuff and I wanted some things, but did not want to shell out the money for them. And don't worry I will include you in my latest acquisition thread when I get all of my stuff together. And if you decide you want to get rid of that hitch I will put it to good use =] -Charles
CRE1992 135 #9 Posted May 22, 2012 Well it looks like the 551 fits over the 60" deck but I'm gonna have to stretch things out a bit framewise on it....ya know so I can steer.... lol. I think if you mount a verticle shaft engine on the left and right spindles of the deck the Suburban should be able to tote it around. Its funny as that deck probably weighs close to what that Suburban weighs if not more lol.
varosd 1,185 #10 Posted May 22, 2012 Jeff, Doesnt chrome cut down on wind resistence and increase overall ground speed by 10%? :ychain:
bowtiebutler956 649 #11 Posted May 22, 2012 Wow, that thing is going to be all deck! I'm looking forward to seeing pics of that little monster complete! That thing will be the size of a pony, but with a whole lot more hanging between its tires than most Horses! Matt :flags-texas:
JamesBe1 80 #12 Posted May 25, 2012 Great haul. That should keep you busy for a while! If it were me, I would be working on them for at least the next decade. ;)
