211-5 Clutch and brake springs

Recommended Posts

redhorse86

I recently got an 86 211-5 that recently had the transmission replace but I am unsure how the clutch and brake springs go on. The spring from the idler to the hole above the trans is already in place so I just need help with the other two. If anyone has pics of the springs installed on the tractor that be great.

I got all of the springs back into position. but now when the engine is running the belt between the engine and trans sometimes slips off when I step on the clutch.

I don't know your model right off, but I just did a drive belt on a C-112 vert shaft mower, and it had heavy wire belt guides that helped keep the belt from jumping off, did you reinstall the belt guides?

All of the guides are in place. Would an upside down pulley on the trans cause this problem?
