Trans. MN: 110996 into a 656.

I am going to install a 8spd, 4 pinon 1" axles into my 656. As with the long dipstick tube there is not enough clearance for my seat/fender pan. Does anyone know off a shorter dipstick tube and dipstick that wiil fit this trans.? Also I can not tell from the trans. IPL if the dipstick tube is pressed in or screwed in. Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Older models from the early 70's did not use a dip stick tube and had a plug with a dip stick on the end IIRC. I'm sure Kelly prolly has a few around
