redmosquito1 2 #1 Posted April 16, 2012 I visited with Kelly yesterday and got a new deck. While there he was giving me some pointers on how to date my tractor and suggested it was possible that the flywheel cover is a replacement and suggested looking for the casting info on the block. I did that and it shows E/6 where his showed k301 (or whatever it said). Does anyone know what the E/6 stamping means? Thank Tom
Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted April 16, 2012 I'm not sure on the casting on your engine, most but not all big kohlers have the size cast in the block above the crank on the PTO side, like the one I showed you that had K301, and as I told you some 10hp blocks have K301, yours might be a date code?
