powermate welder parts

Recommended Posts

I need some help from you welding guys. I just aquired a Powermate gasless wirefeed welder. It is model #117032. Ser. #C584959. What I need is a trigger switch for the gun. I works pretty well (I hotwired what was left of the switch, do not try this at home). It feeds well and strikes a good arc. I don't know who made them, Lincoln I think. I think they were maybe sold as Coleman welders but, mine just has Powermate on the front of it. I would appreciate any help for this. Thanks Pat

Perfect, thanks for the help. I just ordered it and it will be here by Friday. All of the members on here are just the best. I have gotten so much help on here. I cannot even begin to express my thanks enough :banana-tux: . I don't know how you found it KC9KAS, but thanks. I've been looking for 2 days :deadhorse: . I should have just asked here. When will I learn :teasing-whipyellow: . Pat

KC9KAS, thanks again. The switch came yesterday. It is the right one AND the only part left available for that welder from Sears. It came in a Lincoln bag so I can get parts from Lincoln. It is a little tricky to get the wire to feed right . It is a little tangled on the spool. I think longer tips will help as well. It welds, Albeit nothing heavy. But I think it will do well on exhaust repairs. I think there is a gas kit for it too. I don't like flux core. I just can't seem to make it well cleanly. Since there is no amp. adjustment on this particular box, I will just have to learn to be a better welder with it :teasing-whipyellow: . Pat

I too like the gas feed migs better than the flux core wire.

Glad you got the part you needed.
