mrc 878 #1 Posted April 12, 2012 hi guys, i have a tiller that is leaking gear oil from the tiller gearbox. it is leaking from the left side stub shaft. (if you are behind the tractor looking at the tiller). i assume there is an oil seal surrounding the stub shaft in the gear box housing. do any of you know the seal dimensions or a part number??? preferably a napa, carquest crossover number??? thank you in advance for your help. mike in mass. Wheel-N-It 2,971 #3 Posted April 13, 2012 Hey guys, I need that number too. The left side seal on my year model 1991 tiller is leaking. I have to keep it raised up in the air to keep the gear oil from running out. Mike, remember to put 90w/140w back in your tiller unless you know for sure yours requires something different. My tiller gearbox is nice and quiet with Lucas gear oil in it. Van
